We are creating a new neighborhood
It’s success will be measured by how intelligent, progressive and effective our design is. We need smart, informed and progressive elected officials that can drive forward such ideals. But they need to hear from the public and not just us.
These are some of the guidelines we have developed so far:
- Putting people near jobs to reduce commutes, sprawl and congestion
- Truly reduce our carbon footprint and green house gas emissions by providing transit oriented design, bike/ped alternatives along with allowing people to live near where they work
- Protecting the rural character of our county by partnering in agricultural land preservation and other conservation programs
- Embracing LEED standards and creating a demonstration project that can become the standard for new development in our communities
